People do not always see the world as it is.
Often, we see the world through:
our own wounds,
our own experiences,
our own fears,
and our own needs.
What we have not faced within ourselves
can easily be projected onto others. 🌿
Some project anger.
Others project fear,
shame,
control,
or the need for attention.
And sometimes, people can begin to carry roles that were never truly theirs.
The “weak one.”
The “difficult one.”
The “selfish one.”
The “too much one.”
The “one who needs to be rescued.”
The “one who needs to stay quiet.”
Slowly, we can begin to trust the way others see us more than our own inner voice.
Perhaps that is why genuine inner work is also about:
becoming more aware of what actually belongs to us —
and what comes from other people's wounds and masks. ✨
Because people who do not know themselves
can easily try to define others.
Not always because they are cruel.
But because they themselves may carry:
inner unrest,
unconscious patterns,
or roles they have never fully looked at within themselves. 🌙
And perhaps one of the most important things we can learn is:
to meet ourselves honestly enough
to see what we pass on to other people.
Because genuine awareness is not only about:
“seeing through” others.
It is also about:
daring to look at ourselves. 💜
When we become more aware of our own wounds,
it also becomes easier to meet other people with:
clarity,
boundaries,
and less projection.
And perhaps then, we can stop carrying so many masks
that were never truly ours to begin with.
