Understanding the Body as More Than What We See — An Inner Map
Most of us have learned to understand the body through what we can see and measure.
Muscles.
Organs.
Systems.
This gives us an important understanding of how the body functions.
But many people also experience something else.
Tension that cannot always be explained.
Unease that does not sit in one specific place.
Or a sense that something in the body reacts before we have time to understand why.
This is not necessarily something mysterious.
It may be another way of understanding the body.

In many traditions, the body has been seen as a system of energy in motion.
Not energy as something abstract,
but as something we can actually feel.
As warmth.
Pressure.
Movement.
Flow — or stagnation.
One of the languages used to describe this is what we today call energy centres — or chakras.
For some, these concepts may feel unfamiliar.
But they can also be understood in a simple way:
As a map.
A map of how we experience ourselves —
from the most basic aspects of the body
to what relates to direction, expression, and meaning.
Each of these areas in the body can be connected to certain themes.
Safety.
Relationships.
Will.
Communication.
Awareness.
Not as fixed truths,
but as entry points for understanding what is happening within us.
When we begin to notice this, we may discover something interesting:
That the body does not only react physically.
It also responds to how we feel.
To stress.
To relationships.
To the choices we are facing.
And often, it shows this through signals before we have time to put it into words.
Colours have also been used as part of this language.
Not because the body is colours,
but because colours can help us distinguish and understand different qualities.
In physics, we know that light consists of different frequencies.
Colours are one way of describing these frequencies.
In the same way, we can use colours as a tool to understand different “areas” of the body.
Not as something we have to believe in,
but as something we can use to become more aware.
This is not about replacing what we already know about the body.
It is about adding another layer.
A language for what we feel,
but cannot always explain.
When we begin to see the body as a map,
it also becomes easier to orient ourselves.
Not to find quick answers,
but to understand connections.
Where in my body do I feel this?
What happens here when I am stressed?
What happens when I am calm?
Warmly, Rita 🌿💛
This is the starting point for the first course. The 7 basic energy centers.
Not to learn a system from the outside,
but to get to know how your body actually feels from the inside.
This is not something you have to believe in.
It is something you can explore.
